This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping options, delivery timelines, costs, and procedures for orders placed through our website (www.cotopaxd.com). By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Shipping Eligibility & Coverage
We ship to most countries worldwide (excluding regions with restricted trade policies, military addresses, or remote areas not serviced by our logistics partners). To confirm if we ship to your location, enter your address during checkout—if your location is ineligible, you will be notified before completing your purchase.
Note: For international orders, you are responsible for complying with your country’s import laws, regulations, and restrictions (e.g., prohibited items, documentation requirements). cotopaxd is not liable for orders rejected by customs.
2. Order Processing Time
Before your order ships, we process and prepare it for delivery. Our standard processing times are:
- Standard Orders: Processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding major holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day).
- Custom/Personalized Orders: Processed within 3–5 business days (due to the additional customization work required).
- High-Volume Periods: During peak seasons (e.g., Black Friday, holiday shopping, or new product launches), processing may take up to 3–4 business days—we will notify you via email if there are significant delays.

Remote area surcharges may apply to locations that are difficult to access (e.g., rural areas, islands). You will be notified of any surcharges before finalizing your order.
5. Order Tracking

7. Delivery Issues & Exceptions

- For international orders: We will assist with the carrier’s claim process and issue a refund or replacement once the claim is approved (typically 7–10 business days).
7.2 Delayed Deliveries

- Duty/Tax Estimates: During checkout, we may provide an estimate of duties and taxes (using third-party tools), but this is for reference only. The final amount is determined by customs.
- Payment of Duties/Taxes: You will be contacted by the carrier or customs office to pay duties/taxes before your package is delivered. Failure to pay may result in the package being returned to cotopaxd, and you will be responsible for return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee.

Certain items are subject to shipping restrictions due to size, weight, or regulatory requirements:
- Oversized Items: Large gear (e.g., tents, kayaks, large coolers) may require special shipping arrangements and longer delivery times. We will contact you to confirm details after you place your order.
- Hazardous Materials: Items like fuel canisters, certain batteries, or flammable products are restricted for air shipping and may only be shipped via ground (domestic orders only) or excluded from international shipping.
